Chris Lockyear was a chef with D’amico and partners for 13 years. He was at D’amico Cucina for 8 of those and was chef de cuisine for the catering division for 5. His career path started early in that his eighth grade career report was titled “So you want to be a chef?” He attended Madison area technical college for the culinary arts, opened the Clay Market Café in Cambridge Wisconsin at age 25, and moved to the twin cities in 1994. He has worked at Minneapolis bistros, Lucias, Bobino, Lowrys, and has worked with Minneapolis chefs, Lucia Watson, Seth Daugherty, Jay Sparks and J.P. Sameulson. When not cooking he enjoys travel, live music, rock climbing, and fishing. Cathy Lockyear was an employee of the Wedge Coop for 16 years. Most recently the assistant deli manager, she worked her way up through the kitchen and was an integral part of their continued growth along the way, including getting organic certification in the deli. She has been in the food business in some way most of her life. Everything from working as a teenager with her mother at the Club Terra in Stillwater, to a partnership in a restaurant in Wisconsin, to her most recent work at one of the premier natural food coops in the country. Quality food and quality service have always been central to her life. In her off time Cathy loves to travel , rock climb and see live music. Chrissy, Cathy's identical twin and best friend does visual display at the Bibelot shop in NE Minneapolis. She has worked for this great local company for 7 years. She enjoys live music and traveling. She has also been there through it all, watching us together for twenty years as we have worked, traveled, climbed and danced toward this idea of creating something that we could use to fulfill our dream of providing quality food and service in a fun and funky atmosphere.
